Tricky and Confusing Maths Problem

Hello I was surfing net and all of sudden i went through a debate happening in social media. This was not about sports or politics but regarding a maths problem i.e 6/2(1+2) some have opinions that the answer will be 1 some say 9. But what I think it would be 9 how? look we know BODMAS [B-bracket, O-of ,D =DIVSION,M=Multiply,A= ADDITION AND S =SUBTRACTION] states the sequence of solving arithmetic expressions,Now we also know that Division and multiplying have equal priority means whichever comes first we have to consider that similarly with addition and subtraction Now coming to solution 6/2*(3) =3*3 =9
